Performance of ITOs

New information released by the Tertiary Education Commission shows that the hard work that ITOs, trainees and employers, have put in to improving performance has paid off.

ITF Executive Director Jeremy Baker says that ITOs have been on a journey of improvement for several years and it is starting to show in official figures.  Data released today showed significant improvement in credit achievements (up 14  percentage points to 64%) and programme completions (up 14 percentage points to 55%).

"Industry training costs the government significantly less than other parts of the tertiary education system, yet our results hold their own.  That is due in large measure to the strong commitment of industry and trainees to success."
