Dear Customer,

Checklist for ADS Tour Guide trainees

Important reminders to ensure you are prepared

Please remember that to reach the cut off date for ADS policy of 1 December 2008, all ATTTO units must be completed and submitted no later than 24 November 2008. If trainees have not started the qualifications, it is unlikely that they will be able to meet this deadline.

For this reason, ATTTO is not accepting any further trainees for this year.

If you have any queries please contact Belinda Jorgensen from ATTTO on
04 815 9815 or email belinda.jorgensen@attto.org.nz

Alternatively, you may contact Andrew Johns from Tourism New Zealand on
04 462 8050 or email andrewj@tnz.govt.nz

ADS Graduation

The ADS Graduation will be held at 5.30pm, Friday 12 December at Skycity, Auckland.

A representative from the Chinese Embassy, Mr Wang Hejun will be attending the ceremony to present awards to winners in the following categories:

Trainees should send a passport photo for their ID cards to Jessica Henson, ATTTO. PO Box 1217, Auckland 1140.

18212 Coaching Mentoring Session

ATTTO would like to assist those trainees who have not yet completed Unit Standard 18212: Demonstrate knowledge of New Zealand as a tourist destination, by running some 'mentoring sessions' at our Auckland office.

The sessions below will be held at ATTTO's Auckland office, Level 2, 13 O'Connell Street, Auckland Central:

  • Friday 7th November - 9am to Midday
  • Wednesday 12th November - 9am to Midday
  • Tuesday 18th November - 9am to Midday
  • Monday 24th November - 9am to Midday

It is important that trainees attend at least one of these sessions, as they will help you achieve this unit standard.

Please bring your Unit 18212 worksheet. ATTTO will provide a computer and maps for you to use.

Please email Jessica Henson, ATTTO on jessica.henson@attto.org.nz to register.
